This custom software application helped Farrell Roofing address a significant issue affecting the company’s ability to track their employee’s safety certifications. Maintaining and tracking their list of employees and their certifications had become very cumbersome as they continued to grow.
BUSINESS USE CASE
Farell Roofing had been using a Microsoft Access db to track employee certifications across multiple locations. They needed a system that would allow multiple users in different offices to securely access and manage their employees’ certification information within a central system. The Microsoft Access db did not meet that need. They also needed query tools and reports that help them quickly know who needed to recertify, what certification he/she needed and when the certification would expire.
This unique use case required a unique software solution. Pixis Software designed and developed a custom web application that addressed those needs and more. Authorized users of Farell Roofing can securely access the application from any location. We included an integration that would sync with Sage 300 to acquire an up to the minute list of their employees to be used within the application. The application allows the user to search or filter data so they can easily find the information they need.
